To help you absorb all of those critical words about Apple's latest hardware, we thought to do a quick roundup for you.

And if you want a super tl;dr version: the hardware upgrades (display, camera, battery life) of the iPhone 6 are excellent but not anything that exciting. It's iOS 8 that really propels the iPhone 6 to greatness, and those features will be coming to other iPhones soon, anyway.

The Verge said that the iPhone 6 is probably the best smartphone on the market right now.

iOS 8 makes everything feel simple and accessible. But, while the hardware is an improvement, it's nothing revolutionary or that exciting.

Closing note: "it’s still an iPhone. The same thing Apple’s been making for seven years."

CNET squares the iPhone 6 against its bigger sibling, the iPhone 6 Plus.

Predictably, the iPhone 6 feels better to hand. However, the 6 Plus has extra battery life and optical image stablization. The problem is that the huge 6 Plus is more like a tablet than a smartphone.

Closing note: "[The iPhone 6 isn't] the absolute top of the line. Maybe that bugs you. If it does, get the 6 Plus."

TechCrunch calls the iPhone 6 the "best smartphone available."

The best mobile camera, improved battery life, an attractive design, and Apple's "pleasant to use" display wins here.

Closing note: "it’s all about delivering the best computer you can keep in your pocket, and that’s exactly what the iPhone 6 is."

TechRadar calls the iPhone 6 iconic but isn't impressed by its price.

A few little issues that you have to live with are: a protruding rear camera, slight looseness to a couple of the buttons, and the headphone port is still at the bottom of the phone.

Closing note: "the iPhone 6 is another iconic handset in terms of design for Apple. It's not the best looking on the market [...] but it's definitely right up there, and for the price I'd expect nothing less."

The New York Times doesn't think the iPhone 6 is as vital as is the software it runs on, iOS 8.

Apple doesn't take enough of an advantage of the big screen as it could have, such as having two resizable windows open simultaneously. The hardware upgrades it has are stellar, though.

Closing note: "The slim new iPhones aren't a big-screen slam-dunk, but they work well, as we have come to expect from Apple."

So, there you have it. There are, of course, many more reviews of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus out there if you want them.

What do you think - are you going to get one?
Gilbert went out, and Anne put away Little Jem's short dresses with trembling hands. She could not sew any more that day. With tear-wet eyes she wandered over the little domain where she had reigned so happy a queen. The Morgan place was all that Gilbert claimed. The grounds were beautiful, the house old enough to have dignity and repose and traditions, and new enough to be comfortable and up-to-date. Anne had always admired it; but admiring is not loving; and she loved this house of dreams so much. She loved EVERYTHING about it--the garden she had tended, and which so many women had tended before her--the gleam and sparkle of the little brook that crept so roguishly across the corner--the gate between the creaking fir trees--the old red sandstone step--the stately Lombardies-- the two tiny quaint glass cupboards over the chimney- piece in the living-room--the crooked pantry door in the kitchen-- the two funny dormer windows upstairs--the little jog in the staircase-- why, these things were a part of her! How could she leave them?

But when it comes to The Binding of Isaac developer, Nicalis, we can only hope this one proves true.

After Nicalis apparently tweeted out the picture (above) yesterday, it was removed sharpish. Reddit user tsarkees managed to mirror the shot, giving us another look.

Speculations suggest it could be due to the clipped-off title in the right-hand corner. Reddit user bopoe posted a photoshopped picture of Hydra Castle Labyrinth, suggesting that this could be the accidental clip. As well as showing off 1001 Spikes, Cave Story, and BoI: Afterbirth+, it looks like the Nintendo Switch could have a 'Dark UI' mode, potential profile picture, and more.

As with any of these rumoured posts, don't take this as a fact and instead with a pinch of salt. None of this has been confirmed, but I certainly wouldn't say no to that night-mode-looking UI.

What do you guys think?

What with his art in youth, and youth in art,
Not Doppler has announced that Earn to Die 2 will be coming to iOS and Android later in the year.

It turns out that the original game proved to be quite popular despite it being, as we said in our review, an "oddly uninspiring experience".

So this is all your fault. But hey, let's not be grouchy, as it seems that Not Doppler may win us over this time.

You see, the original game was too easy, but in this sequel your car will be destructible. That may give it the difficulty jump it needs.

Anyway, if you didn't know, Earn to Die is all about driving through hordes of zombies. The first game restricted this activity to a dull desert, but in Earn to Die 2 you'll be driving through cities.

The new setting seems to have inspired some more interesting level design, too.

"Levels will now be multi-tiered, allowing players to drive over decaying highway overpasses, navigate via underground tunnels and smash through epic zombie-filled factories," Not Doppler says.
